Small credit unions save big with Emergifi.

Over ten small credit union executives with no full-time IT professionals on staff needed assistance with standardizing their computer hardware and software and finding a host for email. Many of them also needed to implement an automated backup solution, enhance disaster recovery, and provide secure data access to their members. Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union had a 20-year-old, on-premises, phone system that was no longer supported by its telecommunications company. In preparation for a possible change in phone systems, the credit union needed to have cabling tested. Emergifi provided cable testing and reporting services to the credit union, which included summarized tests performed on each cable to determine if the cabling needed to be replaced or repaired. The credit union estimated it saved over $40,000 by electing Emergifi’s cable and testing reporting services when compared to proposals from other vendors.

In addition, the credit union selected the RingCentral cloud-based unified communications as a service platform and elected for Emergifi to lead the phone system conversion, training, switch upgrades, and implementation. Altra Federal Credit Union, a large credit union with 19 branches in eight states, was seeking Microsoft 365 implementation. They required proof of concept or pilot for use within their IT department as a phased-in approach to Microsoft 365. Previously, the credit union had an on-premises Exchange email system, on-premises Windows-based file servers, and subscribed to Microsoft 365 for all employees in the organization.
