Cloud Migration Engineer

Provide members with design, installation, migration and support services for cloud solutions primarily from Microsoft; provide pre-sales support to determine business and technical requirements and then identify appropriate technology solutions; stay abreast of emerging technologies and serve as a resource and mentor with team members; provide ongoing technical support for new and existing members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, install, configure, migrate, support and document best practice solutions to meet members’ current and future business and technical requirements
  • Provide technical support for new and existing members, including after-hours support
  • Provide pre-sales support, interfacing with members to gather business and technical requirements and then translate them into appropriate solutions with accurate cost estimates
  • Document, develop, implement and/or refine processes, procedures and standards; stay abreast of emerging technologies and maintain certifications
  • Mentor, learn, and collaborate with team members
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 7 years of Microsoft solution implementation and experience, including:
    • Microsoft Windows Server / Active Directory/Microsoft Exchange/Office 365/ Azure
    • Microsoft SharePoint Server / SharePoint Online/ Microsoft System Center
    • Backup, recovery, and security/threat protection software
    • Migration software and utilities that help support a migration to cloud services.
  • Knowledge of business functions, business operations, architectures and technical standards
  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker
  • Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying member requirements
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, to collaborate and to effect positive initiatives
  • Knowledge of credit union philosophy, laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to matters of state and federally chartered credit unions
  • Knowledge of Corporate Central’s Bylaws, policies and operational procedures
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and all other relevant regulatory requirements

Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven years of Microsoft technical experience is acceptable. MCSA or MCSE and experience in a financial services environment are preferred.
