Business Development Executive

Proactively assess the needs of member and future member credit unions, and market and sell the organization’s products / services; assist leadership with marketing strategies, business plans, and sales objectives. Plan, schedule, and report on strategies for fostering relationship development; understand current and future industry trends in the context of market dynamics to deliver sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively evaluate credit unions’ technology opportunities, identify their needs, and position Emergifi services and solutions to meet those needs
  • Manage the sales process
  • Engage senior decision makers, client influencers, end-users and ecosystem partners to advance sales pursuits
  • Review and analyze market opportunities and evaluate competitive and technology requirements needed to capitalize on opportunities. Understand current and future industry trends in the context of market dynamics to deliver sales
  • Plan, schedule, and report on strategies for fostering relationship development
  • Advise Client Services Representatives to facilitate development of deeper relationships with clients / prospects
  • Assist leadership and staff with business development and marketing planning
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of technology and credit union or banking industry experience in sales or account leadership role selling cloud services, SaaS, cyber security, managed services, technology infrastructure
  • Ability to assess, propose, sell and close deals for financial business solutions
  • Experienced hunter responsible for revenue generation with a track record of closing business
  • Strong sales process skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to speak to groups, lead meetings, and conduct educational sessions
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and coordinate work efforts
  • Ability to work well with others and to effect positive initiatives
  • Knowledge of credit union philosophy, laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to matters of state and federally chartered credit unions

Education and Experience
This position requires appropriate experience in business with an emphasis on marketing of technology services related products; a college degree is preferred.  Travel, up to 25% or more, is also required.
