Associate Systems Engineer

Position Summary

Leverage technology to improve the financial wellness of our clients.  Provide clients installation, migration and support services for cloud solutions from Microsoft and other best of breed technologies including but not limited to; Microsoft 365 installation and configuration, cybersecurity solutions including next generation firewalls and endpoint protection, cloud based backup and recovery, unified communications as a service(UCaaS) and remote monitoring and maintenance.

The foundation is primarily Microsoft based systems including Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows and network infrastructure.  The focus is as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft/Office 365, Azure, and cybersecurity solutions. You need excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ultimately use technology to advance the following goals for our client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, migrate, support and document best practice solutions to meet current and future business and technical requirements of our clients
  • Provide technical support for new and existing credit union clients, including after-hours support
  • Provide pre-sales support, interfacing with clients and design staff to gather business and technical requirements and then translate them into appropriate solutions
  • Document, develop, implement and/or refine processes, procedures and standards
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and maintain certifications
  • Mentor, learn, and collaborate with team members
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 3 years of Microsoft solution configuration and management, including:
  • Microsoft Windows / Active Directory/ Exchange/ Office 365/ Azure
  • Microsoft SharePoint / Intune (or other MDM solutions)
  • MCSA or MCSE preferred
  • Working experience with network infrastructure such as switches, routers and firewalls
  • Knowledge of network design and daily management
  • Working knowledge of backup, recovery, and security/threat protection software
  • Working knowledge of architectures and technical standards
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Education and Experience

An associate degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of three years of Microsoft technical experience is acceptable. Experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
